A marketing strategy is nothing without a clear commercial goal or a laser focus on the end customer. I have had the opportunity to work on campaigns with a £20m budget through to developing new business and marketing strategies with virtually zero investment. All are challenging and all are accountable. Increasingly marketing must engage directly with the customer. The intermediary of advertising and communications needs to be supplemented with a direct relationship – either through social media or via experiential activation.

 

Client experience

I have been fortunate to work on projects for FTSE companies through to owner/managed businesses. Projects include:

  • Audit of the commercial potential of additional revenue of a FTSE 100’s office and retail portfolio, then commissioned to develop and implement the strategy for the portfolio.

  • A similar audit and implementation project for a multi-national property.

  • Creation of annual marketing strategies for medium sized property companies that need to build their reputation in a specific region.

  • Developing a marketing strategy to help a travel business gain major investment.
